Elf Bar did not abandon AF5000 fans. They launched the AF5500, a rechargeable pod kit built to the UK rules, which is what took its place on shelves. The experience is deliberately close to the original, so the switch is almost seamless.

With the AF5500 you buy the rechargeable kit once, then snap in a fresh sealed pod when the old one runs dry. Each pod uses the same auto feed idea, with a reservoir feeding the 2ml pod through the day. It gives a similar puff count to the old AF5000. The flavours and nicotine strength carry over. The draw feels the way it always did. The key difference is that you keep the rechargeable battery and only replace the cheap pod, instead of binning a whole device.
