How to charge an SKE Crystal Plus

The SKE Crystal Plus is a rechargeable pod kit, so unlike the old disposable bar it is built to be charged and reused. Charging is quick and simple. It uses the same USB-C cable as most modern phones, so you almost certainly already own one. Note that many kits do not include a cable in the box to cut down on waste.

The charging port sits on the base of the device. You plug a USB-C cable into it and connect the other end to a power source, then a small light shows it charging and goes out when it is full. With a 400mAh battery, a full charge takes around 30 to 60 minutes depending on the plug you use.

Beyond that, do not leave the device charging unattended or overnight, then unplug it as soon as it is full. Charge it on a hard surface away from anything flammable. Charging a brand new device

A new SKE Crystal Plus usually arrives around half charged from the factory, so it works straight out of the box. Even so, it is worth giving it a full charge before your first proper session. Starting the battery at full helps it settle into a healthy charging pattern and means you are not caught short on day one.

Making the battery last

If you are not using it for a while, store it partially charged in a cool, dry place.

Keeping the charging port clean also helps. Dust or e-liquid residue around the port can affect the connection and cause slow or patchy charging, so a gentle wipe with a dry cotton bud sorts it. These small habits add up to a battery that holds its charge well over months of use.

Charging problems and fixes

If the Crystal Plus will not charge, a couple of quick checks usually solve it. Try a different USB-C cable and a different plug first, since a faulty cable is the most common cause. Then make sure the port is clear of lint or residue and give it a gentle clean if needed.

If it still will not charge after that, especially if the kit is old or heavily used, the battery may be reaching the end of its life. In that case the device should be recycled as electrical waste and replaced rather than forced. Remember too that charging only powers the battery, so if vapour is weak after a full charge, it is the pod that needs swapping rather than more charge.
